Incident Command System (ICS) Training
FEMA ICS 100 (8hrs)
Basic understanding of the ICS that provides the foundation for higher-level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the ICS. It also explains the relationship to the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
FEMA ICS 200 (12.5hrs)
Designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event and focuses on the management of single resources. This course provides training for personnel likely to assume a supervisory position within ICS.
FEMA ICS 300 (18hrs)
Provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced application of ICS. Target audience is for individuals who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents where some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated and extend into multiple operational periods.
FEMA ICS 400 (13.5hrs)
Advanced application of ICS for senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-agency Coordination Entity.
CIFFC ICS 100 (2hrs)
Intended for entry-level personnel assigned to an incident or event that require an understanding of ICS. This module reviews the ICS organization, terminology, and responsibilities so that the learner is able to work in a support role at an incident or event.
CIFFC ICS 200 (10hrs)
A five module course that defines the unique qualities of ICS as an event or incident management system, how the organization expands and/or contracts, principle facilities, resource types and status, and demobilization.
CIFFC ICS 300 (25hrs)
This course provides a comprehensive description of the organizational elements in order to achieve incident objectives, resource management, and the planning process.
CIFFC ICS 400 (22hrs)
Explains Command and General Staff responsibilities, multi-jurisdiction and multi-agency Unified Command, major incidents, and Area Command.
CIFFC ICS 401 (4hrs)
Describes the major elements associated with implementing an effective Multi-agency Coordination System compatible with ICS.
CIFFC ICS 402 (2hrs)
An ICS orientation for executives, administrators, and policy makers. Those persons responsible for implementing policy, but whom normally are not part of the on-scene ICS organization.

PROEM is able to deliver four levels of FEMA ICS from ICS 100 to ICS 400 inclusive, and also the Canadian ICS curriculum CIFFC ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300, ICS 400, ICS 401, and ICS 402.

May 7-13 is Emergency Preparedness Week
Emergency Preparedness Week is Canada's annual, national event that takes place during the first full week of May. The main objective is to increase awareness about individual preparedness. All the EP Week activities reinforce the idea that we can reduce the risks and lessen the consequences of a disaster by being better prepared.
