About Us

 

Gregory W Solecki is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) through the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), and an internationally certified Incident Command System (ICS) instructor for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC). He has over 25 years of progressive front-line experience in business continuity, emergency management and business administration. 

He is formally educated with an applied Business Degree in Emergency Services (with honours) which complements his time spent developing the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology's (NAIT) Emergency Management Diploma program.  He created and facilitated the Physical Security course for NAIT, and also teaches as a visiting staff member at the Canadian Emergency Management College in Ottawa.

Mr. Solecki has provided his expertise for emergency management ISO standards on Crisis Management, the CSA 1600 standard on Business Continuity & Emergency Management, the federal governments National Cross Sector Forum (NCSF), and the recently published book; Critical Infrastructure Understanding Its Component Parts, Vulnerabilities, Operating Risks, and Interdependencies.

His most recent deployments include; preparedness planning for the Royal Visit, disaster response for the Southern Alberta Floods, and recovery operations for the Slave Lake fire.
